How to switch to the forum interface in English
A full interface of this forum is available in English for registered users.
Registering is free, all it requires is to reply to an email to confirm your registration. As the registration screens are in French, here is a step by step guide to register :
1 - Clic on "S'enregistrer" at the top of this page.
2 - A window opens (you may want to open it in a new browser window to be able to keep these instructions on screen, or print this page). This window carries a registration agreement (translation of this agreement available in a topic of this forum). Clic "J'accepte le règlement" (I agree)
3 - Next screen is a registration form in French. Only a few lines need to be filled in :
> Nom d'utilisateur = user name
> Adresse e-mail = email address (you guessed it !) -- this is where you will receive an email to confirm your registration
> Mot de passe = password
> Confirmer le mot de passe = retype password
4 - You can skip the rest of the page except for :
"Langue du Forum" where you should pick "English"
5 - Clic on "Envoyez" (send) at the bottom of the page
6 - You receive an email with a link to confirm your registration.
7 - Go to the forum and clic on "Connexion", enter your user name and password. The interface should switch to English.
8 - Clic on "Profile" to complete the information and preferences you skipped in the registration form as you wish.
Do not hesitate to email me in case of difficulty.

How to switch to...
Hello Mister Webmaster ?
I am very recently registered, beginning of March I believe.
Just one remark : 8 steps to switch from French to English... don't you think it could be a little bit easier for an ignorant like me ?
In the way to fill that topic we probably could add some links towards American sites like Mayo Clinic for instance. Or liver foundation.org, Medline, and so on.
Unless we have to pay for copyright.
Guy

Hello, Guy
When Philippe , our webmaster, wrote this message, we had not enough ressources to envisage a quick translation in English of our site .
As you could have noticed , Philippe wrote this message more than one year ago.
Now we have our site translated in Spanish, since we started an Albi group of patients in Spain .
One of our 2006 project is to get a full English version of our site , including a forum in English .
It costs a lot of money but we believe it is really worth to have these multilingual versions of our site .
And now, one question for you : are you French or English or American ?
Regards
Daniel

Hello Daniel
Sorry, very sorry. I didn't notice it was from April 2005 !!!
By the way I am French.
Is my english bad enough that you think I could be American ?
But I can help for any kind of translation if needed.
(private message, not interesting all the group)

Hello Mister GuyGyd a écrit :Hello Mister Webmaster ?
Welcome on board. Alas there goes the PhpBB forumÖ This is only a computer, so this machine needs you to tell it what language you'd rather speak (read/write). It cannot guess. To do that, you need to register, with the exact same number of clicks as your French speaking forumers (or Spanish btw). Ok, one more click : the one where you pick the language, as French is default. The other solution would be to have a standalone English speaking forum, with an English interface as default, and several topics in English. We will get to that at some point, when we believe there could be enough activity in that language. (We waited to have 100 members in the albi organisation to launch the forum)Gyd a écrit :I am very recently registered, beginning of March I believe. You're most welcome to contribute these links to the forum, and to quote any relevant article (excerpts, not the whole thing) along with a reference to the source, without worrying about copyright matters. If we believe there could be a problem, moderators will edit the post afterwards.Gyd a écrit :In the way to fill that topic we probably could add some links towards American sites like Mayo Clinic for instance. As for the web site itself, we've started the process of translating some of it, in no particular order. If you are willing to help, you can pick any page that could be of interest if translated, and send us your version. As Daniel writes, it is always difficult to deal with medical matters, and we will need at some point to get specialised translators just to be safe. But maybe a first draft just in need of proofreading could reduce the translation cost. It's worth giving it a try.
